Hi, my name is Renee’. I started this blog to share my crochet and quilting hobbies in hopes to bring some handmade love into peoples homes.

I also wanted to include family friendly articles for the purpose of bragging about my LARGE family.

You may not know this, but since I started writing this blog in 2018, it turned into more of a travel blog with scuba diving adventures and tips, product reviews, and other resources.

Here we are in 2020 and I’ve decided to move all of the travel and scuba diving posts to my NEW blog, “Around The World with Nana“, and return this blog to it’s original purpose.

About Me:

I am the wife of one of the greatest men in the world, in my opinion. His name is Myles. We have 6 beautiful, intelligent, and successful children. We also have 14 (as of February 2020) of the greatest and funniest grandchildren, and in 2018 we became great grandparents, twice (I share my birthday with one…YAY!!).  Our third great granddaughter was born in 2020. I always wanted a big family…I certainly got my wish and I couldn’t be happier.

My husband of 35 years has worked very hard to support our family for our entire marriage and is getting close to retirement. I’ve had jobs here and there, but only worked a few years at each one. We decided it was better that I be a stay at home Mom, which I LOVED every minute of. I feel it’s about time I support him so that he can enjoy his retirement as much as I’ve enjoyed life so far.

The Name “ReNanaMom”

Wondering where the name “ReNanaMom” came from? Well, my name is Renee’, I am a Mom and a Nana. My daughter and daughter in law were trying to tell one of my grandchildren to ask me something. The statement that came out was, “Go ask (and then a combination of my names came out) Mom, Renee’, I mean Nana.” At that point, one of them said “ReNanaMom”. Then in the tune of the Sesame Street song “Mahna Mahna” they sang, “ReNanaMom do do do do do!”

When trying to come up with a name for my blog, I asked the family if they had any ideas. “ReNanaMom” was the first thought, and so my blog was named.
